The she-cat looked somewhat surprised, but she none-the-less crouched beside the rabbit. “Thanks.” She said, looking up at him with gratitude shining in her silver-green eyes.

Shadowstar purred softly to himself. It was nice to see his Clan members cooperating. Things were looking up for the first time in a long while. The loners had not been spotted in some time, and, well, they say no news is good news.

The she-cat flicked her ears in her leader’s direction, acknowledging his presence. She felt a little uncomfortable, but she wasn’t sure why. Something about knowing Shadowstar was watching her made her uneasy. But that didn’t make sense. He was her leader. So why did she feel guilt? Like she’d done something wrong?

Silentwrath munched on some of the rabbit, waving his tail in greeting to Shadowstar. Something gnawed at his heart, though he wasn't sure what. He hadn't done anything wrong, had he? He was just sharing a rabbit with a fellow clanmate. "Sure, no problem." He murmured in reply, smiling towards Silverfur. He was at ease with a fellow Clan member, something that was very rare. There were two cats he felt comfortable with; Shadowstar, and Silverfur, though more Silverfur than Shadowstar for an unrecognizable reason.

Silverfur smiled back, letting herself calm down. It was a silly thought anyways. She knew she wasn't doing anything bad. Just sharing fresh kill with a fellow clanmate, something she hadn't done since her mentor had died. Taking a gentle bite from the rabbit, she found that her sense of calm was slowly returning, though it was taking a while for her ruffled fur to lie flat. Still the thoughts ran in her mind. What had she done wrong?

Shadowstar nodded to them, and disappeared through the entrance. He picked up a squirrel he had stashed earlier that day(He had almost forgotten about it), and padded over to join Silverfur and Silentwrath. He had noted a brief tension in Silverfur, though he couldn't guess why. "I see the hunting went well today." He said as he took a bite.

Bowing her head to their tabby leader, Silverfur nodded. "For Silentwrath, at least." She meowed, companionably flicking Silentwrath's flank.

Shadowstar smiled and nodded at his deputy. "We are fortunate to have hunters who know their business. Leaf bare is not far off, though StarClan has blessed us with a long and warm leaf-fall."

Silentwrath blushed slightly, having dipped his head to greet Shadowstar, and nudged Silverfur in a friendly matter. She seemed tense, but he shrugged it off as worry for Leaf-bare. "I had a great mentor, who taught me how to hunt." He meowed huskily, his light blue eyes shimmering in the fading sunlight. He wrapped his darkly-striped tail around his lithe haunches, their muslces rippling briefly beneath the light gray pelt as he twitched, removing a fly from his hind legs that had been annoying him.

Twitching her ears, Silverfur looked from Shadowstar to Silentwrath. “That may be so, but it isn’t your mentor doing the hunting.” She meowed in an amused tone, her silver-green eyes shining. “Shadowstar’s right. This Clan has many good hunters, and we’re blessed for it.”

((Plenty of fresh-kill, no loners... This thread's too goody-goody *evil grin*.))
A pair of green eyes watched the cats hunt. She licked her lips, only just realizing how hungry she was. She knew that she shouldn't be here, but what did the Clan borders matter? The loner life was meant to be free, and that meant going where she wanted, when she wanted, even if it meant running into a patrol. Even though she thought she had every right to be here, the large warriors still scared her a bit. Any one of them could easily rip her apart, so she remained silent, ignoring her hunger knowing that she would be able to eat later, when they had moved on. Luckily she was downwind and in the shadows, so they wouldn't be able to smell or see her. Her stomach grumbled softly, so only she could hear. She held her breath, then slowly let it out. No cat had heard her. Her belly complained again, this time loudly. She froze, barely daring to breathe.

Her silver-green eyes lifted from her Clanmates to the nearby bushes. Twitching her whiskers as she inhaled, the faint scent of rogue or loner drifted to her. Standing, she whisked her tail to her leader and deputy, signaling she scented someone.

The scent reached his nose quickly, abruptly. It was something he wasn't prepared for, something he didn't have time to register, but his body worked for his brain. Rogue. Get up. Go. He leapt upwards, whirling and bounding out of camp in the same movement. Muslces rippled underneath his pale pelt as he headed towards where the scent was- there! A flash of fur, a whiff of the scent again. Stronger. More noticeable. There! He had been stalking low to the ground for awhile, and slid into the undergrowth where the loner hid. He was in front of her, not much bigger, but his muscles spoke for themselves. "Who are you, and why are you on our territory?" He growled out, his normally soft and deep voice now rough, and yet calm, in a calm-just-before-the-storm kind of way. A dangerous way. A way to beware of...Like the sign, on a fence, saying, 'Beware of Dog' when you can obviously see the man-eating massive beast that cannot possibly be a dog. The saying is, 'Diamond in the Rough,' but the intensity of Silentwrath's voice would be better described as, 'The Rough in the Diamond...'

Silverfur blinked in surprise as the tom leapt out of Camp. “Silentwrath!” She called, astonished. Likewise getting to her paws she bounded after him. “Silentwrath! Don’t hurt her!” Her yowl echoed through the forest, her tail twitching anxiously. Unless she was wrong, and she wasn’t often, this cat was weak and hungry. And it was her job to tend to those cats, no matter the Clan. “Silentwrath…” Her voice trailed away as she approached the pale tabby tom. Peering into the bushes she noticed the green eyes watching her. “You’re nothing more than a kit!” She exclaimed.
